This is the third year of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Half of the 2009 field reached post-season in 2008-09, led by NCAA Final Four participant Villanova. Dayton also played in the Tournament (and won a game), while Kansas State and George Mason played in the NIT.

Patrick Chambers takes over as coach after spending five seasons with the Villanova coaching staff under Jay Wright (Chambers served as associate head coach during the Wildcats' Final Four run last year). Last season, the Terriers won 11 of their last 14 America East conference games to finish third in the league. BU will feature two of the top four returning scorers: Senior Corey Lowe (17.2 ppg) and junior John Holland (18.1), both All-Conference first teamers. The O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off will be the first time the Terriers have played outside the continental U.S. since Nov. 17, 1997 (when BU faced Connecticut in Halifax, Nova Scotia).

INDIANA
Nickname: Hoosiers
Conference: Big Ten
Location: Bloomington, Ind.
2008-09 record: 6-25

Tom Crean’s first season as coach featured the toughest regular season schedule in the nation, according to the Jeff Sagarin ratings. The young roster saw true freshmen account for more than two-thirds of the team’s minutes played and scoring during the season. A top-10 rated recruiting class assures that trend should continue, this time with better results. The storied Hoosiers own 20 Big Ten championships and five national titles. Crean has the credentials to return the team to such heights, having guided Marquette to the post-season in eight of nine years before moving to IU.
