Puerto Rico Tip-Off Field for 2013 Event Secured
Nationally-ranked Michigan and Florida State confirmed for early-season tournament
The Puerto Rico Tip-Off has secured all eight teams scheduled to play in the 2013 event, to be held next November on the destination island.
The field for the seventh annual event include Auburn, Charlotte, Florida State, Georgetown, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Michigan and VCU.
The 2013 Puerto Rico Tip-Off will feature a bracket format with 12 games over three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through the bracket. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship game on the final day of competition.
Previous winners of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off include Alabama, Minnesota, Villanova, Xavier and Miami (Fla.).
The family-friendly tournament and resort destination of Puerto Rico host the teams to three days of play, practices and immersion into the Puerto Rican culture and landscape.
